King’s welcomes families from overseas and other parts of the UK. We believe that the school community is enriched by children who have experienced life in other cultures.
We have considerable experience of families relocating into the area and each application coming with its own special set of circumstances, is dealt with flexibly on an individual basis.
Families very often choose the school first and this dictates the area in which they then live. We handle relocations directly with a family or through a relocation agent.
Assessments are required but can be adapted if appropriate to overcome language difficulties. Overseas applicants unable to come to the school may sit the papers in their own school under supervised conditions.
King’s is renowned for its caring atmosphere and excellent pastoral care which is helpful to new pupils in the early stages. We also offer help and advice about curriculum issues to help the transition into the English system.
