Boys’ Cross Country at King’s is open to all ages and abilities with practices taking place on Thursday lunchtimes with a run around the Bollin Valley which is approximately 2.5 miles.
We enter into two competitions each year, the ESAA English Schools’ Cross Country Cup for Year 7, 8, 9 & 10 and the District Championship for Years 7 – 11.
If runners in the District Championship finish in the top 16 then they will be invited to run in the Cheshire Schools Cross-Country Championships at Knights Grange where they will represent Macclesfield. The best runners will be selected from this race to go on to represent Cheshire. In our 2015/16 season 8 boys qualified for the Cheshire Schools Cross County Championships.
