Young writer Isabelle won a totally cool prize after mimicking her favourite writer Meg Cabot. The King’s Year 8 pupil won Mizz Magazine’s international competition to meet the best selling author, who specialises in American teen speak.
Meg Cabot’s books, notably “The Princess Diaries” and "Tommy Sullivan is a Freak”, have been translated worldwide but still retain a mega awesome use of American slang.

“I just thought that impersonation was the best form of flattery,” said the talented young writer. She added: “I can’t wait to meet Ms Cabot and I am already planning on buying a whole new wardrobe.”
An avid reader, Isabelle also counts Cornelia Funke and Sharon Hale among her favourite authors and added: “I’d love nothing better than to be a writer when I grow up.”
