Sarah might have earned a prestigious Nuffield Science Bursary working with Bentley at their Crewe HQ, but she’d still rather drive a Smart Car.
The 16 -year-old King’s Sixth Form pupil, hit the headlines last year when she gained 10 A stars in her GCSEs with five of the top marks in the country.
Sarah, who after completing five A Levels next year wants to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge, will spend five weeks working with some of the car industry’s very best brains on body and trim and power assisted door systems. She said: “It’s a great opportunity to learn about the very best of British industry, but when I am old enough to drive I’d be quite happy with a Smart Car.”
She added: “I am really looking forward to working in Crewe, but I’m also quite glad I’ve got two weeks holiday in Minorca first.”
Sarah won the work placement against strong national competition after being nominated by King’s.
