U12 County Netball Champions 2014
King’s is renowned in the North West for its excellence in sport. We cater for all pupils and are proud of our belief in participation for all and the pursuit of excellence – a philosophy that has been acknowledged and praised in the past by both ISI and by Sport England.
The range of sporting opportunities includes: athletics, biathlon, camps and expeditions, cheerleading, cross-country running, gymnastics, hockey, netball, orienteering, outdoor activities, rounders, sailing, skiing, soccer, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis, trampolining and volleyball.
Sports sessions run each lunchtime and girls can choose from: gymnastics, netball, cross-country, vollyball, cheerleading or strength & conditionaing sessions. After school, girls can enjoy both hockey (autumn term) and netball (spring term). On Saturdays more than 300 pupils and some 25 staff are simultaneously engaged in and committed to extra-curricular sport.
Sport Tours are part of a King's tradition and, this year, a Girls' Division Tour to Barbados is planned for October 2014 when girls from a number of year groups will play netball and hockey matches against the host nation.
Pupils and former pupils in recent years have represented their country or been National Champions in 22 different sports. We currently have many pupils who are National Champions in trampolining and athletics.
