King’s Girls regularly enjoy excursions and field-trips to support and enhance the curriculum and their learning. The cost of many of these visits is included in the school fees.
Optional trips and holidays are available to both girls and boys throughout the academic year. Recent trips have included visits to Iceland, Namibia, Malta, Morocco and India, to name just a few. In 2014, there are three major sports tours organised - a Rugby Tour to South Africa; a Girls' Division Netball/Hockey Tour to Barbados; and a Junior Sports Tour to Jersey (netball, hockey, rugby and football). There is also a Choir Tour to Tuscany.
The majority of overseas trips take place during school holidays. There are also regular outward bounds activities such as caving, canoeing, mountaining and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, which take place at the weekends.
