Several visits are arranged during the course of the year to supplement classroom studies. The cost of most of these trips are included in the fees. The programme varies from year to year, but typical venues are:
Year 3: Local study (Macclesfield), river study (Styal)

Year 4: Chester (Romans), York (Vikings)
Year 5: Bramall Hall (Tudors), local study (Buxton)
Year 6: Eden Camp (World War II), Manchester Jewish Museum (R.E.)
In June each year all the King’s Junior take part in the School Walk through the pleasant Cheshire countryside.
A number of optional activity holidays are available during the course of the Year:
Year 5/6 children can join the October visit to a PGL centre in France where they experience French culture as well as taking part in a variety of physical activities.
Year 4 children have the opportunity to attend a multi-activity weekend which takes them away from home for two days and nights.
A skiing holiday takes place during the February half term or Easter holiday on a biennial basis and provides an early introduction to the joys of alpine skiing.
The last day of the school year sees two parties of Year 5/6 children going off on PGL activity holidays to Lincolnshire and South Wales.
