King’s Sixth Form seeks to continue the pattern of academic excellence found elsewhere in the School. We hope to bridge the gulf between the tightly structured pattern of work up to GCSE and the freedoms of university life. We aim to provide students with opportunities to take responsibility for their own work but to do so in a caring and exciting environment, in which we can offer support rapidly to those who experience difficulties.
We believe in a disciplined environment - after all the sixth form years are vital stepping stones to higher education - but we also appreciate the importance of fostering independent learning, personal organisation and a balance between work and play if students are to achieve success at this level and beyond.
