Recreational Activities

On Wednesday afternoons students participate in a wide variety of activities to improve their existing skills or develop new interests.  The range of activities varies from year to year, but normally includes:

Community Action projects such as assisting at local primary and special schools and retirement homes, or becoming involved in Community Radio or working with rangers in Macclesfield Forest. 

Team games such as soccer, netball, cricket, tennis, golf, rugby and hockey

Indoor games (either at school or Macclesfield Leisure Centre) such as squash, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, swimming, aerobics, weight-training

Art, Sound Technology, Computing, LAMDA preparation

Outdoor activities such as rock-climbing, caving, walking, abseiling.
