Year 10 Girls’ Hockey Team Fundraiser

The Year 10 hockey team have enjoyed training on a Friday afternoon, in our games lesson, this term. We have benefited from some great coaching from Tom Ainsworth, Vicky Lomas and of course Mrs Barker and have had a lot of fun at the same time. We have practiced all sorts of important skills and despite the team’s unfortunate losses in our matches; everyone has improved since the start of the season, with only a few injuries, mainly received by Aiman Aslam.

On Friday 7th December, we decided to put a Christmas twist on our last session before Christmas and raise some money for the Christie’s charity appeal at the same time. So, we all dressed up in various Santa hats, hair accessories and even a full Santa outfit, worn by Evie Hancox. Everyone donated a pound to the Christie’s appeal. It was a good session and a great way to finish off our first term of hockey.
