House Cake Decorating Competition

On Friday November 11th girls from all years gathered in the resource to take part in the annual House Cake Decorating Competition. Each house was given a plain white cake and was then given about 20 minutes to decorate the cake in a design decided by the house captains. In the end, Capesthorne won first place with their festive Christmas tree and clever play on words ‘Cakesthorne’ decorating the side of the cake, Gawsworth came second with their date appropriate poppy design and in joint third was Tatton and Adlington, despite Adlington’s best effort to win the sympathy vote with their ‘Save the Whales’ theme of two whales under the sea. All of the girls had great fun getting involved and being creative, but everyone’s favourite part of the event was getting to eat the cake at the end!
