Mr David Pook, Deputy Head
It is with the deepest sadness we learned that David passed away on 17th January 2012. He was at home in Guildford surrounded by the love of his family.
Whilst the speed of David’s passing will come as a terrible shock to us all, I know that he especially would want us to temper our sadness with an awareness of his resolute faith and his confidence in what is to come. Let us remember as we grieve that the pain we experience now is but a reflection of cherished memories and a life well lived.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 8th February 2012. There will be a private committal service at Macclesfield Crematorium followed by a Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the life and friendship of David at St Michael’s Parish Church, Macclesfield at 2.00 pm. The service will be followed by refreshments at The King’s School in Macclesfield, Cumberland Street.
David requested bright and colourful clothes to be worn and family flowers only. Donations are welcome to The Christie and East Cheshire Hospice.
We are very grateful for the messages of condolence and support that we have received at school. David’s family have been very moved by the depth and strength of people’s feelings.
