About Us
King’s offers families a number of unique advantages:
A small school within a large school
King’s has all the advantages of a large school, with fine buildings and facilities, an unrivalled range of extra-curricular opportunities, and a reputation for attracting the very best teaching staff. But we operate within three, smaller Divisions each with its own Principal, pastoral team and intimacy of a ‘small school within a school.’ Every single child is valued as an individual and their talents are nurtured. We pride ourselves on our exceptional pastoral care. Our pupils experience a friendly, small-school atmosphere with the support of an impressively large group of talented staff.
Academic and well-rounded
Our pupils do extremely well academically and our exam results put us amongst the top performing independent schools in the country. We challenge our pupils to aspire, work hard and achieve great results. But there is more to life than exam results: we want pupils to enjoy learning and become ambitious and well-rounded individuals. King’s offers a whole world of exciting opportunities from regular sporting, musical and cultural activities to exploring the highest peaks and volunteering in remote parts of the globe. Whether in the Infants or Sixth Form, pupils will develop talents they never knew they had.
Space to grow and learn
King’s is fortunate to be located on an extensive 80-acre site in rural Cheshire. Our purpose-built campus boasts extensive indoor and outdoor facilities.
Our large rural estate gives children the space they need to learn and flourish. We make the most of our indoor and outdoor learning areas: indoors, the campus offers a music recital hall, lecture theatre, drama halls, ICT suites, a gymnasium, sports hall, swimming pool, and a dance studio, while outdoors we have expansive teaching and sporting facilities, our own wildlife areas and bee hives. We also make the most of our local environment as well as towns and cities further afield, using our fleet of minibuses to access the Lake District, North Wales, Peak District and parts of Yorkshire.
