Overview of the ISI Inspection (2025)
King’s has been recognised as fully compliant and to have met all the required standards. The inspection report is very complimentary about a broad cross section of school life including; the breadth of our provision, how we utilise our fantastic campus, our SEND provision, the extra-curricular life of school, our King’s Compass programme, and the academic progress of our pupils.
The report details some key findings that include the following:
- Pupils are self motivated and ambitious about their learning and achievement.
- Pupils thrive, make good progress and consistently achieve well.
- Parents are well informed about the school and their child's attainment, progress and wellbeing.
- Relationships between pupils and adults are positive across the school.
- Pupils experience a broad curriculum and achieve well as a result of the high quality teaching they receive.
- Leaders create a culture in which praise is routinely given, which supports pupils’ self-esteem and confidence.
- pupils build on developing their skills in collaboration, alongside their sense of personal responsibility and respect for each other.
- In the early years, children are well supported both academically and pastorally, and as a result make a positive start to their education.
- The creative and aesthetic curriculum includes a wide variety of options, such as dance, drama and design and technology. Pupils' participation in music and music-making is of a high standard and they engage readily in regular school productions. High-quality artwork is noticeable in displays across the school, reflecting pupils' enthusiasm for creative subjects.
- Teachers plan lessons effectively, including through the relevant use of resources to help pupils deepen their understanding. Pupils make good progress and achieve well across a wide range of subjects.
- Pupils feel their views are valued and that they can contribute meaningfully to the school community.
- The school's commitment to social responsibility is evident in its partnerships with local and global communities.
