One of the special things about King's is its semi-rural setting, which offers enormous advantages over city sites.
As well as having our own wildlife meadow and extensive sports facilities, the town of Macclesfield is a historic market town on the edge of the Peak District and fringed by hills, villages, forests and canals.
In the centre of Macclesfield, our Cumberland Street site (SK10 1DA) serves both King's Boys’ Division and Sixth Form. Half a mile to the east, our Fence Avenue site (SK10 1LS) houses King's Girls’ Division, plus our Infant & Junior Division.
Our Transport Coordinator in the Finance Department will be pleased to explain booking arrangements. Please call 01625 260010.
The school is also well served by the local bus services and by the railway. Both railway and bus stations are within a ten minute walk from the school sites. Train journey times are quick and convenient e.g. Prestbury 4 minutes, Congleton 9 minutes, Poynton 10 minutes, Bramhall 13 minutes, Cheadle Hulme 16 minutes, Stockport and Stoke 20 minutes, Manchester Piccadilly 28 minutes.
The Traveline journey planner gives public routes and connections to King's from across the area. Please visit their website for bus and train details:
