Leave a Legacy
Most of us want to leave a legacy, whether that be making an impact in our profession, supporting our children or donating to a charity. Many members of the King's community support our vision and ethos and choose to leave a lasting legacy to the school in their will.
The foundation of King's Macclesfield is due to the bequest of Sir John Percyvale, whose original endowment paved the way for a tradition of philanthropy and giving back that has shaped the School that exists today. The school was established in the Savage Chapel of Macclesfield Parish Church shortly after Sir John’s death, with William Bridges as the first schoolmaster-priest.
As we approach 525 years of heritage, many former pupils and staff choose to leave a gift to us in their will. Such gifts provide a lasting contribution to the school, whether that be an individual pupil(s) bursary payment, improving school facilities or at the discretion of the school based on needs at that time.
Percyvale Legacy Society
Membership of The Percyvale Society is open to all those who have notified us of their intention to make a pledge to the school. Members will be invited to a special annual dinner with the Headmaster to receive updates on the school's latest developments as well as providing the opportunity to connect and maintain friendships.
We recognise that leaving a legacy is not only a big decision, but one which is personal and you may choose not to be recognised through membership of the society, which we will respect.
If you are considering naming King's in your will or would like to inform us that you have already done so, please complete our legacy pledge form or contact Debbie Dawson, Development Manager on 01625 412329 or email development@kingsmac.co.uk
