Pistol Shooting Club is incredibly popular with our Upper Junior and Senior pupils. It runs every Friday from 4pm - 5pm during the Autumn and Spring terms and for the first half of the Summer term. It is open to boys and girls from Year 5 upwards.
Pistol Shooting Club is run by two teaching staff and two parents, who have been trained by qualified British Shooting coaches to coach the children.
Pupils have the opportunity to compete for the school at the British Shooting Schools competitions and, in 2018-19, have had some great achievements.
At the North West Schools Shooting Competition held at Ellesmere College in November 2018 our junior team won Bronze medals for 3rd place and our intermediate teams won Silver and Bronze in their section. Our Silver winning team of Olivia Burns, Naya Jones and Lottie Dennett qualified for the National Schools' Pistol Shooting finals, which was held at Stoke Mandeville in January 2019 - a fantastic achievement.
Senior shooter Tom Dennett also qualified for the regional finals at both the North West and North East competitions.
