About Us

Admissions
King's is a selective school and the admissions for all age groups are handled by our Admissions Department, who would be only too happy to answer your questions. At King's, we do all we can to guide you through the process to make it as straightforward as possible.

At King's we deliver a broad and innovative curriculum, within a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters an atmosphere of intellectual challenge. One of our core aims is ‘to develop lively and enquiring minds’ with an inclusive approach to challenge and enrichment.

Co-Curricular
We are renowned for our excellence in music, drama, sport and other extra-curricular activities as well as being one of the largest Duke of Edinburgh Award Centres in the Country. Co-curricular opportunities start in the Infants right through to the Sixth Form.

The King’s School has one main campus, which houses the Infant & Junior Division, the Senior Division and the Sixth Form, alongside a Sports Centre and sports facilities:

The King's School Campus

This is on the Western side of Macclesfield, in Prestbury, and can be found on Alderley Road. Two entrances are located on Alderley Road (both are entrances and exits). There are two car parks on the site, one outside the Sports Centre (for visitors to the Senior School) and one near the Infant & Junior School entrance.

Derby Fields

This is also on Alderley Road, next to the main School Campus. It has its own entrance and car park. It offers 26 acres of superb playing fields containing 6 rugby pitches and 3 cricket squares and has its own Pavilion and Conference suite.
