Year 13 visit to the Houses of Parliament
In January, our Politics A Level students travelled to London for a visit to both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. This was a hugely enriching experience that brought their classroom learning to life and provided invaluable insight into the workings of UK government. Year 13 student Bea explains more about the trip:

“Last week, the A‑Level Politics students went on a trip to London. It was a brilliant chance to see the political system we study come to life. We began with a guided tour of Parliament, exploring both the Commons and the Lords, before sitting in on a live debate in the House of Commons, which gave us a real sense of how decisions are made. We also met our local MP, Tim Roca, who answered a wide range of our questions about his work and current political issues. In the afternoon, we visited the Supreme Court and learned how the UK’s highest judges approach major constitutional cases. The day was packed with insight and made the subject feel more real and engaging than ever.” Bea Worlock
