School Captain, Will, Receives Oxford University Offer

We are delighted to share the fantastic news that our School Captain, Will Gandy, has received an offer to study German and Russian at University College, Oxford.

Will, a talented linguist, is currently studying German, French and History at A-Level, as well as having completed an EPQ. Following a rigorous selection process involving two admissions tests and three interviews, Will is lucky enough to have been offered a place at this prestigious Oxford college. Founded in 1249, University College is Oxford’s oldest college, renowned for its academic excellence and distinguished alumni, including Stephen Hawking, C. S. Lewis and two British Prime Ministers.

Will has had an outstanding application cycle, also securing offers from UCL, Edinburgh, Durham and Bristol. However, with Oxford his long-held ambition, he is thrilled to have the opportunity to begin his studies there in September 2026.

Alongside his academic achievements, Will is a gifted musician and performer, having achieved Grade 8 in both violin and piano, and taken lead roles in several school productions. He looks forward to continuing his music and drama whilst at Oxford.

Congratulations, Will – you are an inspiration to us all!
