King's students are celebrating their A Level results, which bucked the national trend and showed a further increase on last year's results. For the first year since 2019, nationwide results showed a small decline, but at King’s it was yet another bumper, record-breaking year. "I couldn't be more proud of their achievements," said Head, Jason Slack.
A stunning 49% of all grades were at A*/A, with 81% of grades at A* - B. A fabulous five students achieved three A*s, while more than a third of students achieved an A* in one subject or more.
The results confirm King's in the Top 10 of North West independent school's in the influential Sunday Times league tables based on academic results.
King's Head, Jason Slack, was delighted with the results and paid tribute to the students' work ethic and commitment: "I'm absolutely thrilled with this tremendous set of A level results which show a continued upward trend for results year-on-year. Our school aim of 'challenging pupils to aspire, work hard and achieve' is well represented by this determined and talented group of young people. They have developed broader skills such as leadership, resilience and independence and their talents extend well beyond the classroom into the extra-curricular arenas of music, sport and drama. Several of these students have gaining international representation in areas such as netball and rugby."

A Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award holder, Aaryaa is going up the London School of Economics to read Management and wants to be an entrepreneurial business owner. Cheshire county netball player and coach, Madi Baxter, achieved four A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Psychology. One of two School Captains in her final year, Madi is going up to Nottingham University to read Natural Sciences. Minty Kight, from Altrincham, got three A*s in Business, Economics and Maths with an A in her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and will read Economics at Edinburgh. Rufus Simpson, from Wilmslow achieved four A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry and will now read Biochemistry at Bristol. Not pictured is James Chamberlain, from Alderley Edge who got A*s in Business, Economics and Geography and will read Business Management at Leeds.

There are five students off to study Law, three going to study Aerospace Engineering, one studying Automotive Engineering, one studying Motorsport Engineering and two going to study Chemical Engineering. Rory McCabe will be taking up his place at Oxford University to study History.
In addition to Vismaya, two other future doctors include Lucy Bambrook (pictured second from left), who is joining Nottingham University to study Medicine, and Muna (see below) who is also going to study Medicine. Also pictured left are U18 England hockey triallist Sophie Fletcher, who achieved A*A*A and is going to study Architecture at Edinburgh University, England netballer Lydia (see below) and Leah Shadwell, who achieved A*A*A and is joining the University of Queensland, Australia, to study Conservation & Marine Biology.
Pictured (on the left) is England netball star Lydia Hine, who got an A* in Biology and two As in Chemistry and Psychology and will now read Pharmacy at Birmingham University. A Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award winner, Lydia is a member of the England Roses U19 netball squad and has captained King's squad throughout her school career. Beside her is brass musician Jenny Wallace, who got two A*s in Maths and Further Maths, with an A in Physics and a C in Computer Science and will read Theoretical Physics with Maths at Lancaster. Jenny has achieved Grade 8 on the Trombone and played a major role in King’s Brass Band throughout her time at the school.
