The Big Apple Makes a Big Impact on our Sixth Form Students

Over half-term, 30 Sixth Form Economics and Business King's students embarked on an unforgettable visit to New York City, taking part in a wealth of activities designed to deepen their understanding of global business, marketing, and international affairs.

Highlights of the trip included an insightful marketing talk at Hershey’s, exploring strategies behind one of the world’s most recognisable brands, a visit to the United Nations headquarters, offering a unique perspective on international diplomacy, a moving experience at the 9/11 Museum, a behind-the-scenes finance talk on the costs and logistics of staging a Broadway show, followed by a dazzling performance of Moulin Rouge. Students also enjoyed a guided walking tour of Wall Street, the beating heart of global finance.

To complete the experience, students enjoyed spectacular views from the Top of the Rock and a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, taking in stunning vistas of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

The group stayed in a hotel located in Times Square, placing them right in the centre of the city’s energy and vibrancy, with plenty of opportunities for shopping and soaking up the atmosphere of the city that never sleeps.

This trip was not only educational but also inspiring, giving students a unique insight into the world of business and international affairs while creating lifelong memories.
