School Life

Introduction

King’s offers pupils a remarkable range of opportunities and experiences. From regular sporting, musical and cultural activities to climbing the highest peaks and exploring remote deserts.

Whether in the Infants or Sixth Form, pupils will discover passions and develop talents they never knew they had. We are committed to bringing out the best in every pupil. King’s is a happy place to grow and learn - we cultivate individuality and celebrate success, of all forms.

We offer a choice of well over 100 different activities, clubs and societies ranging from art club, dance club, concert band, debating, drama club, orchestra, fantasy gaming and film club to zoology club, sailing, squash, taekwondo, basketball and equestrian squad.

King’s has a national reputation for its sporting successes in rugby, hockey, cricket, netball, tennis, trampolining, cheer, showjumping and gymnastics, to name but a few. We are also one of the largest Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme directly licensed centres in the country.

We know that it is skills learnt whilst in a sports team, producing a school musical or teaching in a school in Bolivia that will help our pupils when applying to universities. Characteristics such as determination, commitment, resilience and good communications are actively cultivated.
